Project Promise Poverty
Coalition
Analysis & Information
Committee
May 14, 2009
1-3pm
In attendance: Jenn Lehner, Rhonda Hannemann, Mary Bloomer, Mark Priebusch, Lyle Verstegen
Scorecard Progress:
- Discussed the use of data from capped programs.
Is turn-away data collected, and is it reliable?
- The information we have now is a good start. We have no information about
transportation, which would be helpful. Mary will ask for information from Jason Kakatsch and Rhonda will contact Debra Wetter(?).
Mark has a contact from Kobussen.
- We will wait to see everything in a readable
format before we start asking for more. Mark will take the data we have collected and put it
into some visual to track.
- Ideally, we will collect information on a
quarterly basis, but ask agencies to give us the monthly tracking
information. We want raw
data, not summaries. In the future we will try to streamline collecting
the informationÉone committee member, or perhaps even a Òdrop boxÓ idea on
the webpage for agencies to use.
- Rhonda will contact Lisa Schneider from the
housing coalition to speak at our June meeting to help us understand the
data. What is tracked? What are the outcomes/indicators
she is looking for? What does the data mean to them?
- A draft of the Faith to Face fact sheet was sent
to Andrew and received positive feedback. It still needs more work and collaboration with
Andrew. A few key facts are
missing and need to be added. Jenn will send
this to the committee and Mark will be in collaboration with Andrew to
complete this project.
Root Cause Analysis:
- As indicated in prior meetings, our first area to
tackle will be ÒFinancial Education.Ó We will hold a roundtable discussion at our July
meeting to brainstorm about the Root Causes for lack of Financial
Literacy/Education. We will
pull in experts from UWEX, FISC, School Districts, to discuss best
practices, weak links, etc.
- Our June meeting will be used to discuss the
specific questions we want answered during this roundtable
discussion. We will plan 2
hours for this roundtable.
Invite the contacts you have, but please send your Òinvite listÓ to
Jenn so that we can identify the different areas
and organizations we will tap into.
Upcoming Meetings:
