Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a mentoring agency with a mission to assist youth in becoming confident, competent and caring individuals through one-to-one relationships with caring mentors. Children served are between the ages of 6-18. A lot of things have to happen before we make a match. After volunteers express an interest in our volunteer opportunities, all our Bigs go through a thorough background check and careful interview process. Then we match Bigs and Littles based on location, personalities and preferences. We provide full support for our volunteer programs along the way — so that matches can grow into lasting friendships. "Bigs" and "Littles" meet once per week to develop a friendship through one of our three program options: Community, School or Club-Based Mentoring
